Austin Kelley, a Southern California native, started with international attention from film students all over the world at the ripe age of 23, with his sci-fi short The Entangled, while studying cinema and film theory at Chapman University under Michael Phillips (Prod: Close Encounters of a Third Kind, The Sting, Taxi Driver). It’s considered by many as one of the most cinematic student shorts ever made.
Austin rapidly accelerated since then as a director of music videos, commercials, high concept short films, and agency branded content known for his stunning visuals and cinematic approach. Austin seeks the big screen with major motion pictures and works with the top cinematographers and visual effects artists in the industry. His team and mentors are deeply rooted in cinema and bring a new level of quality and execution to all media.
His varied styles are influenced by Michael Bay, Tony Scott, and Neill Blomkamp. He currently resides in Los Angeles, CA and is also developing several feature screenplays.
